SHIATSU (soul touch)

Shiatsu, meaning “finger pressure,” is a deeply holistic bodywork practice that addresses the root causes behind your physical or emotional symptoms. It views each client as a whole being—mind, body, and emotions are inseparable aspects of health. When energy is blocked at any level, the entire system is affected. The aim of shiatsu is to release these energetic blockages and help the body return to a natural state of balance, or homeostasis.

Sessions take place on the floor, using a specially designed body cushion that supports your posture comfortably. This allows you to fully relax—even when lying face-down—without strain on the neck or back. Clients remain fully clothed in comfortable, stretchy attire.

At the heart of every shiatsu treatment is therapeutic touch. Using gentle yet effective pressure with thumbs, palms, elbows, knees, or feet, combined with rotations and stretches, we work through the body’s meridian system to activate its self-regulating capacities. The experience is gentle but powerful, both calming and deeply freeing.

For deeper benefit, sessions often integrate elements of craniosacral therapy, which further supports the body’s natural healing intelligence. While each person responds uniquely, most experience a profound sense of peace—physically and mentally. Sensations such as warmth, coolness, or gentle tingling are normal signs of the body rebalancing. Sometimes, long-held emotions may surface and be released, a process that is supportive, healing, and to be embraced with gratitude.

When you enter a session with trust in your body’s innate wisdom, the results can be truly transformative—for both you as the client and for me as your therapist.
